TeenScreen: Creating a Crisis Where None Exists

Are you worried that your child is having suicidal thoughts? Apparently the U.S. government, not because we are experiencing an epidemic of suicides. In fact, the Centers for Disease Control reports that suicide rates for ages 10-19 in the crash. However, despite this progress, the U.S. government wants to get involved. The government has been known to fail and fail miserably in so many things, mental health screening of teens is something that should stay far, far off, allowing the family to look after their children rather than governments corrupted by the pharmaceutical company concerned only with profit.

TeenScreen is a controversial mental illness screening program introduced by Columbia University's Child Psychiatry research department - the same group that has designated the Food & Drug Administration to review the studies on antidepressants appear self-harm and suicide in children.

goal of TeenScreen is a screen of every school-aged child before graduation for suicide and mental disorders, using the computer polls. They are considered at risk are recommended for treatment. "tag placed on your child is one that could put him or her for life, regardless of their validity. You should also be aware that this is the ability to diagnose your child is also legal to drug your child.

FOX is officially in charge of the hen HOUSE.

On May or May not surprising to learn that the money line to fund this ill-conceived program known as TeenScreen can be traced directly to the pharmaceutical drug industry. Members of the drug industry has also helped in developing your questionnaire a young person will be asked to complete.

One tactic TeenScreen officials use to sell your child / teen suicide survey first and after their approval, they later contact parents. However, not enough children voluntarily come forward, so one idea was to encourage them by offering free movie passes and pizza parties, met with greater success (suicidal because we know kids love to eat pizza and go to the movies!). This tactic conjures images of foreigners passing through a quiet neighborhood, is slowly creeping down the street in the dark sedan, offering candy to little kids in hopes of luring them into their car. Make no mistake about it - the real agenda here is a pill pushing the most compelling groups in our society

.

passive consent.

In the past, TeenScreen has been known to use passive consent form, and does not require written parental approval. passive consent form was sent home to parents, and if you fail to return, TeenScreen considers that the silence means that you have parental consent. Passive consent is a way to get around the written consent of parents and effective way to get more children screened. Passive consent requires parents to return the form only if they do not want their child to participate in screening.

However, federal law known as the protection of student rights, requires written parental consent before a child goes through research, analysis or assessment. One option as explained in the TeenScreen newsletter, is that the screening part of the school curriculum as a method to circumvent this law and use passive consent instead.

The following is a list of some of the issues that May be asked by your child, leading to a possible diagnosis of mental disorder:

There was a time when nothing was fun for you, and you simply are not interested in anything?

There was a time when you thought you could not do anything well or that they were not so good looking or as smart as other people?

How often is your parents get annoyed or upset with you for the way you were feeling or acting?

Have you often felt very nervous when I had to do things in front of people?

Are you often worried a lot before you were going to play a sport or game or do some other activity?

Have you tried to commit suicide in the past year?

Are you still thinking about suicide?

Have you thought seriously about killing yourself?

Have you often thought about suicide ??

Have you ever tried to commit suicide?

9 of 10 children from the psychiatrists were prescribed psychotropic medication.

Based on the answers the child gives to these questions he is then sent to a "clinician" who believes that designation is used: Social phobia? Panic disorder? Anxiety? Obsessive Compulsive Disorder? Active suicide ideation? Passive Suicide ideation? The following is an unbiased list of mental disorders from which to choose when diagnosing a child as mentally ill through TeenScreen: behavioral disorders, avoidance personality disorder, mathematics disorder, reading disorder, disorder of written expression, nightmare disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, factious disorder, as well as numerous other "disorders ".

false exceed 84 %!

There is 84 to 94% chance that the student will walk falsely labeled as "suicidal" or "mentally ill", as a result of this test, something TeenScreen is not publicly disclosed. test has proved to be very inaccurate.

Since the real agenda here is a pill pushing, carrying a false positive is not just a label, but possibly dangerous consequences of such a student could be placed on an experimental drug with numerous side effects (including suicidal tendencies!). As many as 24% of children screened given psychotropic drugs, is known to cause more damage than the conditions that are prescribed.

No one stands behind the development of this program has come forward with evidence that their approach is one that will prove to be even and not at all effective. TeenScreen is based on the thoroughly discredited "Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, " and promotes evidence based without providing any evidence.

So where are we going to mental projection?

statistics for TeenScreen so far resulted in one third of respondents are marked as "positive" for mental health problems and 50% of those marked as recommended for the treatment of mental health. If this system, already proven to be extremely inaccurate, is set loose on the 52 million public school students, it would mean putting some sort of label on 17 million American children and putting 8 million children in the hands of psychiatric / drug industry. Imagine the financial gain for this monstrous industry with the government the taxpayers pay the bill!

dealer broke the doors of our schools and it is quite possible, if this issue is left to fully develop, they can never leave. For decades we have put great emphasis on teaching our children to "just say NO to drugs" just to turn around and allow them to be diagnosed with false conditions, possibly labeled for life with "mental illness", and prescribed medications known to be dangerous!

Parental rights remain unclear TeenScreen under the guidance and with every inch taken away from us, it's an inch I can never get back. Even today there are numerous cases of children being taken away or threatened to be away from their parents because of disagreements over conventional vs. alternative treatment in cases such as cancer, which is conceivably could happen in the future, if a parent refused psychotropic medication? I know many cases in which a child was forced out of school for not taking drugs for hyperactivity, what happens when your child is diagnosed with mental health disorders and may refuse treatment? Do we have any reason to feel confidant that the government, medical authorities or the public school system is our children's best interests at heart? History teaches us to be skeptical.

certified mental health screening of school officials will touch all of us at some point and should not be left to play. I strongly encourage you to call or write your supervisor of the school district to find out whether they are implemented TeenScreen, and if not, whether there are plans to implement this program. I would even think to write the school and provide them with written documentation that does not give permission for any mental health screening your child needs help to ensure that they can not go forward.
